# ReadWriteWeb Predictions: Twitter vs FriendFeed

We hope it will enable you to tap into the collective intelligence of RWW readers, to assess web technology trends and keep one step ahead of the news.

The [first prediction](https://web.archive.org/web/20081230185410/http://readwriteweb.predictify.com/auctionview.aspx?ID=5002) is about the battle for users and mind-share that has emerged this year between [Twitter](https://web.archive.org/web/20081230185410/http://www.readwriteweb.com/tag/twitter) and [FriendFeed](https://web.archive.org/web/20081230185410/http://www.readwriteweb.com/tag/friendfeed).

Some early adopters of Twitter have migrated to FriendFeed due to [Twitter’s outages](https://web.archive.org/web/20081230185410/http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/making_twitter_scale.php). However, as of May 2008, [Compete counts](https://web.archive.org/web/20081230185410/http://siteanalytics.compete.com/friendfeed.com+twitter.com/?metric=uv) only 304,574 monthly U.S. visitors for FriendFeed versus 1.725 million for Twitter. So we’re asking:

**How many monthly U.S. visitors will FriendFeed have for July 2008 according to Compete?**
