# Mobile 2.0 Company Directory

Occasional Read/WriteWeb guest writer [Rudy De Waele](https://web.archive.org/web/20111015005957/http://m-trends.org/) has started up a [Mobile 2.0 wiki](https://web.archive.org/web/20111015005957/http://mobile20.wetpaint.com/). Rudy’s intro:

> “Following the response and feedback on “[Understanding Mobile 2.0](https://web.archive.org/web/20111015005957/http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/understanding_mobile_2.php)” article at [Read/WriteWeb](https://web.archive.org/web/20111015005957/http://www.readwriteweb.com/), I created this wiki space to start categorizing the so-called **mobile 2.0 companies**, the next generation mobile products and services coming to market.”

This is an excellent idea, because as we noted last week with [the Nokia N800 release](https://web.archive.org/web/20111015005957/http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/nokia_internet_tablet_maemo.php), mobile Web has started 2007 with a hiss and a roar. And browsing through the initial list of categories on the wiki shows just how many sectors the Mobile 2.0 revolution will touch:

Note that you have to click on the vendor name in the left-hand menu to view company info – for example [Jaiku](https://web.archive.org/web/20111015005957/http://mobile20.wetpaint.com/page/Jaiku) in Community / Social Software.

Mobile 2.0 vendors are encouraged to add their names to the wiki, so hopefully over time it will become a great resource. More from Rudy [here](https://web.archive.org/web/20111015005957/http://www.m-trends.org/2007/01/mobile-20-company-directory.html).
